The pandemic season hasn’t gone yet, but we’re adamant about keeping the colours of Spring vibrant and alive! And Spring-Summer 2021 is right on time to add all the sunny shades and bright hues to love. After the abundant flowers and sizzling disco trend, it’s time to add colours with this tie and dye trend. From home-designed tied and dyed tees to chic co-ords with Shibori prints, tie and dye is back in a big and dramatic way.
After the year that was, tie-dye was all about spreading positive energy for the world. While the tie-dye sweatsuit became the official at-home outfit, there were also layers, shrugs and tees paired with shorts for the Summer vibe to shine – even though we were all at home. Who said you can’t be colourful at home too?
Tie-Dye Energy!
Tie and Dye was a big hit on the ramps and runways too. While Alive+Olivia played with pink and black stripes, Angel Chen chose a dyed all-over look. On the other hand, Christian Dior’s striped jacket and pants were the ultimate co-ords for this season. Tom Ford and Baja East’s collections had a very Sand-Summer-Sea mood tied to them; meanwhile, Alberta Ferreti’s long green striped prints, was the new cheery energy to love and spread!
From Dries van Noten, Gabriela Hearst, Christopher Kane to Imitation of Christ and Beatrice, tie-dye was a part of every designer’s mood board. With the whole world in need of some positivity, this trend took the lead to add some colour, fun and funk for the 2021 mood.

Embracing their wanderer yet sporty side with these hues, celebs were all set to Tie and Dye! From Margot Robbie’s beach mode to Janet Mock’s red carpet one, this trend was all for every mood and every look. Bella Hadid, Romee Strijd, Sofia Richie and Liv Hewson were also flaunting their hippie-go-happy spring aura all around!
Halsey’s tie and dye coat was a level ahead on this tie-dye trend. While her chic and sizzling dyed co-ords were hard to miss too!
On the home front, too, celebs were quick to deck up to this chic shibori vibe!
