Checks, checks and more checks is what we saw on the red carpets, runways and even on the streets! A major Autumn-Winter 2019/20 trend, checks was THE print to own – And there had to be a heart version for all the check-lovers out there!
With a new take, this season checks made a comeback from the Grunge era in a remixed avatar. A special mention to Christian Dior’s collection. With Maria Grazia Chiuri taking over the checks print like no other. From plaid trousers, coats, tulle skirts to dresses and even scarves, Dior had a new muse, and we were all set to embrace it.
From plaid to tartan and everything in between, many designers were bringing their versions of the plaid play. Chanel’s collection, which was an ode to Karl Lagerfeld had all the makings of a winter dress-up. With checks coats and jumpsuits in black and white, it was a meet of classic and trend. From windowpane checks at Victoria Beckham & Gucci to colour blocking at JW Anderson, this season plaid was upbeat and confident. One thing was sure, designers were surely not done with checks yet.
But since it’s also the season of love, we couldn’t let it go now, could we?
Combining the checks trend with this Valentine’s dress code, we created a range of hearts in gold and diamonds. A perfect add-on for all casual day-outs, it’s the new way to express love.
