With time, as fashion designers started including diverse colours and styles as “in-vogue” every season, high and bright got their due place. People started viewing radiant coloured dressing as lively and full of life. Taking a cue from the tumultuous gone-year, radiant colours are providing a sense of hope and optimistic energy! A much-needed refresh. Much required vibe of peace.
Rainbows N Unicorns on the Runway
Another trend with a message brimming with positivity, radiant colours are here to bring a new life to the pandemic dullness. This Summer, think pinks with a punch, brightest shades of green, and sweet sunny yellows! This Spring-Summer 2021, ramps and runways also got the message quite right. From Zimmermann and Roksandas’ monochrome yellow and red gowns to Stella Jean and Valentino’s big floral prints on brights – the aura was all Spring-sunny!
Alberta Ferretti and Acne Studios embraced the light sheer clothing in bright popping colours. Whereas, Halpern was all big and bright with the kaftan-inspired look.
Marques Almeida went sunny yellow in all possible ways – big tees, big shirts, and crop tops! Molly Goddard’s ruffled skirts in bright red with rainbow-y cocktails in tops and jackets was a complete package in itself! Giambattista Valli and Michael Kors went simple and minimal with fresh grassy green gowns. Accessorizing this monochrome look with flat sandals, they let the colours do their magic. Michael Kors also went easy with evening clothes by adding an array of asymmetrical knits with pareo-style wraps skirts – all green!
That Bright Celeb World
When the world is embracing these big bright hues, how will celebs be behind? Kylie Jenner experimented with all hues at hand – be it pumpkin orange, minty green or hot pink! The timeless beauty Jennifer Lopez was also in her forever mood to shine in her mustard yellow punky tracks. Big stars like Nicole Kidman, Scarlet Johnson, Rachel Brosnahan to, Taylor Swift, Zendaya and Gwen Stefani went rainbowy in their monochromes and radiant colour combos!
Our Bollywood hotties Priyanka Chopra and Shilpa Shetty were nowhere behind in the game of playing with colours. Ask royal blue, grass green, sunny yellow or orange – they said Yes to all!
The newbies Janhvi Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan and Kiara Advani also flaunted cherry reds, neon yellows to all possible brights whenever and wherever they could.
