The Award season has officially begun with Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards leading the way and many more yet to come. Needless to say, it’s also the time to decode those red-carpet looks.
While we’re all set to watch all the award functions and waiting for our favourite actor/actress/film to win, there’s also the red-carpet looks to check out! Whether it’s the shoes, the prints or the hairstyles for the event or just the designer picks, it’s all about the style. From being minimal to being over the top, what would this season be like, we wonder?
Narrowing it down for you and us, here are the top 10 best-dressed celebs on the red carpet on our list:
#1. Making to the top of the list, is, of course, Zendaya. In a Tom Ford number and a Ghana braid hairstyle, it was the ultimate touch of pink that struck us.
#2. Did someone say subtle? Say no more! Alison Brie’s oh-so-subtle-but-gonna-shine look was a pure takeaway. Wearing a Brandon Maxwell design, talk about bringing some pizzazz.
#3. There is no list complete, without Charlize Theron being a part of it. And here she is again, in a silver-black, side-slit Celine outfit. Coupled with a blazer for the ultimate power look and her fond diamonds, what was our takeaway? The crescent pendant (heart!)
#4. A little frill and a little voluminous go a long way. Especially when paired with a pastel shade and a sweetheart neckline. And Chloe Bennet brought it all! In a Yulia Yanina gown and Beachy wave hairstyle, the fairytale look got a chic minimal makeover.
#5. Shahadi Wright Joseph took our breath away in a Tadashi Shoji tulle dress. In a subtle yet stand-out design, this micro pleated dress created a fan-like pattern in a layered format. It was, after all, about the folds.
#6. J Lo is back! And in all her elegance, of course. Wearing a Georges Hobeika design, the subtle colour of the outfit and the gemstone outline created the perfect combo. And we couldn’t have asked for more. *One-minute appreciation silence*
#7. In a Julien x Gabriela outfit, Kate Beckinsale dazzled the red carpet in her pale shimmering dress consisting of a sleeve train and an almost-floral vibe. Adding on shoulder-duster earrings were a perfect choice!
#8. Did someone say fluorescent? Kristen Bell heard you! Wearing a Cong Tri jumpsuit, Bell glided over the red carpet in Fluoro green, all the way to the stage. Bagging the #SeeHer award, there’s only one more thing to say — Brava!
#9. The Earthier, the better was the call Lupita Nyong’o took, and we couldn’t be happier. Showing off her sophisticated styling in her Michael Kors outfit, bracelet stack and high bun, one thing was clear – it’s all about how you style it.
#10. Wearing an Erdem number and leading the Little Women nominations, Saoirse Ronan brought a whole lot of print to the show. With a layered high neck dress, it was all about minimal accessorizing and matching makeup.
