SS’19: Fashion’s Coral Crush! #Fridayrefresh

As 2019 began, Pantone was all set to surprise us with their colour of the year. So in the spirit of Nature, optimism and joyful pursuits, Living Coral came with a wave of hope. For both marine corals and human interaction.

The Pantone approved shade soon became a part of fashion, home decor and even technology. Reflecting the support and nourishment required for our coral reefs, fashion connoisseurs like Marc Jacobs, Prada and Brandon Maxwell, made sure to include this shade into their collections. Combined with ruffles, bows and flowy dresses, there was a Coral for them all.

While Sacai added patchworks of this colour trend to dresses and trousers, Christian Siriano’s feathered dresses took centre stage. And with Fendi’s utilitarian mode of parkas and fanny packs, a printed coral dress was all that was required to tie it all up together. A playful shade that was seen with ruffles, sheer fabrics and even coats, there is a whole range of Coral to go for. Fashion labels of the likes of Collina Strada, Etro and Michael Kors also incorporated this shade in their collections. From summer prints, OTT bows to shirt dresses, this colour is made for all.
