‘Cut it Short’, ‘Short cuts’ and ‘cool cuts’ have been the call of the ramps this Spring-Summer 2020. After all the biker shorts rage that we saw last season, there’s a new version in town! The Bermuda suits! This season workwear took a turn towards the casual-cool vibe with a Bermuda trend. Also known as mom shorts, these usually hover around the knee and is THE vacation outfit since the 40s. This trend took off during the 30s and 40s where this style was in sync with the yachting, resorting lifestyle of the elite. Sustainability is in, everything else is out! Spring-Summer 2020 is changing the fashion game, and with it comes in a new fabric – Raffia! There’s an African inspiration in town, and we’re totally in awe! Made out of Raffia palm leaves, this trend is woven in a typical basketweave pattern. However, this season it went to another level! Incorporating modern techniques and their flair, it was quite a spectacle to watch! A sustainable soft fibre, it is the new path of eco-friendly clothing. Winter has set in and with it, our wardrobes are changing massively and so are the ramps! After all the colour pop and OTT things, it’s time for some super-cosy, homely and supersized vibes. Can you guess the trend? Supersized was the call of the runways after all the work and party needs were satisfied. In oversized forms and chunky weaves, knitwear took over all casual wear in all its grandeur. The supersized knits fashion took the front row when Lenny Kravitz stepped out with his shawl cum blanket scarf. The internet exploded, and so did the fashion trend.
