While the ramps and runways of the world were giving us good vibes and sunny feels, the shows also brought in the Spring summer trends. From that bright yellow to humoungous ruffles, there was a lot going on.
As fashion aficionados took inspiration from all things Spring (see florals, palms, paisley) and Summer (See yellow, ruffles and tie-dye), there were quite a few options to look at. From a day outing to a night out with the girls, this season had everything. And with layered clothes and flowy dresses for your ensemble options, there was also matching jewellery. Etro paired seashell motifs with their Californian affair that screamed athleisure, confidence and adventure. While on the other hand, Alessandra Rich went with diamond drop earrings paired with lace gowns and animal print. ‘Trend-on-point’ has surely been this year’s motto.
Inspired by these fashion trends, we’re all about translating them into your jewellery. That too, precious ones. So while you’re stacking up your wardrobe, here are the trends we’ve been working on so far:
#1. The California Girl
From Michael Kors, Altuzarra to Anna Sui, the California Girl was a big hit this season. While Michael Kors went with all over prints and straw hats, there was Anna Sui with her multi-coloured and multi-print addition, Perfect for Summer. With the spirit of Surf, Cycle & Skate being the call this season, there was a whole lotta colour and print to play with. And we didn’t take long to add it to our gold and diamond collection!
#2. The Fruity Yellow
While neon colours became a big part of the Autumn Winter collection, it was a clear reflection of what Spring Summer was going to hold for us. And it all came true on the ramps of Carolina Herrera and Brandon Maxwell. From jumpsuits, skirts and coats, yellow took over the ramps in all their bright and sunny shades. A style statement to follow, we decided to add some enamel to gold to match with your oh-so-sunny outfits!
#3. The Lace
Taking inspiration from the Grunge era, lace this season was bold, edgy yet minimal like never before. With Christopher Kane’s sliced and diced additions to Elie Saab’s playful blend of prints and patchwork and Alexis Mabille’s lace inserts in all things striped, lace had a whole new vibe. Paired up with leather jackets, boots and a whole lot of black, the ramps were surreal. Another must-have of the season, we created a range of gold and diamond jewellery that can be easily styled with your evening wear options.
#4. The Fringe
Taking us all on a twirl, it was a jam-packed dancefloor event where Fringe mania was concerned. From Ralph & Russo’s edgy, shiny and uber-colourful strands to Longchamp’s 70th celebration of all things fringe, there was a lot going on. From shoes, bags to basics, fringe was everywhere and that too, in a hand-crafted feel like never before. And your jewellery should Definitely be a part of this trend! Keeping your swirly-twirly schedule in mind, we created fringe in gold to add to your party wear ensembles.
#5. The Modern Safari
Did someone call for neutrals? The Modern Safari trend was made for those Earthy colours and comfy-yet-utilitarian feels that we all need sometimes. With Fendi’s and Alberta Ferretti’s cargo pants and parkas, it was all about convenience. Quite sure about the adventures out there, there were also crossbody bags for all things essential. Taking these functional additions as an inspiration, we created a range in gold that will surely fit into all your daywear needs.
#6. All Dolled Up
Ruffles have been on an all-time high this season with Giambattista Valli creating OTT frills that have adorned on almost all red carpets this season. With Rodarte’s pastels and prints and Marc Jacobs cream swirls, there wasn’t a ruffle left unturned. And with all these waves of colour, print and tiers and tiers of fabric, we couldn’t hold ourselves back. Blending ruffles with gold, we’ve created tiers that will work on your very own red carpet too! And also all your evening wear, of course.
#7. The Paisley
The Paisley craze was on as soon as Etro stepped up their game as they celebrated their 50th anniversary. With deconstructed Paisleys on swimsuits, Paisley took a turn towards modernity, shedding all its traditional connotations. Zimmermann wasn’t far behind either, with their combinations of ruffles, layers and multi-prints that left people speechless. And with that, our gold and diamond collection of Paisleys became the addition you’ll need for your weekend getaways. Or let’s just say all things summer.
So while you’re perusing through the trends so far, don’t be disappointed, ’cause we’re not even close to being done. with new trends and new concepts brewing in our design studio, there’s a whole lotta Summer Love on our mind! Watch out for more updates!
