Spring is in full bloom and we’re all set with our new summer closet. With weekend getaways and trips planned for the beach, we’re definitely feeling the summer vibe in all its glory and colours.
While Spring has been giving us the heat (pun intended), we’ve moved on to flowy fabrics, shorts and all colours of the rainbow. Bringing out the energy into our clothes, we’re sharing our uber-cool vibes with everyone. A part of the Sports & Nature macro trend, California Girl and Fruity Yellow is the way to go for all your needs. Whether it is a bold pantsuit look or a beach party dress-up, spring hasn’t looked this sunny in forever!
Beach Vibes and the Summer Sun
With California Girl’s medley of colour and prints, the runways definitely looked a lot more brighter. Where Etro took the Surf way and presented its collection with actual women surfers walking down the runway, Marine Serre took the sustainable route with upcycled neoprene wetsuits – turning them into gowns nonetheless.
Fashion connoisseurs like Chanel, Chloe, Calvin Klein and Michael Kors weren’t far behind with their interpretations of all things beach. Karl Lagerfeld’s beach creation and his version of abstract prints and sarong wraps took us all on a mini-vacation and Calvin Klein’s salute to the Jaw series was evident with his camisoles and neoprene suit combinations. Whereas Chloe focused on getting the beach accessories absolutely on point. With knot belts, choker neckpieces and sea shell danglers – need we say more?
Joining the Surf Club
After the SS2019 affair with the beach, the fashion divas didn’t need any other motivation for a vacay. Flaunting their comfy yet debonair looks, Priyanka Chopra, Diya Mirza, Kriti Sanon, Zoey Grossman and Jacqueline Fernandes, were sporting some vacay-goals for us all.
The Optimism of Yellow
Another trend raging this SS 2019 is the yellow colour trend. Behind all things sunny, fresh and fearless, this is the bold choice of the season that you MUST go for. While Moschino’s squiggles definitely took us by surprise, Carolina Herrera’s show was a triumph of all summer hues.
Ranging from Lemon Verbena, Aspen Gold, Mango Mojito and Turmeric, these shades were redefining spring this season. Bringing on the brightness to the spring summer runways, fashion aficionados like Max Mara, Rodarte, Givenchy and Brandon Maxwell went gaga over this colour trend. After the Pantone approved Coral colour trend, Yellow also took over the ramps in all silhouettes and fabrics. While Givenchy’s colour block look was one of our favourites, Max Mara and Rochas head-to-toe yellow were hard to miss.
The Monochrome Effect
After the runways, the fashionista celebs were ready for another colour to take over their spring wardrobe. From Celine Dion, Jada Pinkett Smith, Brie Larson, Julia Louis-Dreyfus to Kajol, Madhuri Dixit and Aditi Rao Hydari, this hue was everywhere and with everyone. Flaunting all the cool-casual summer vibes, this trend brought out the joyous vibes like nothing else.
In case you’re thinking of adding some uber-fashionable shades to your summer wardrobe, we suggest that you go all out! Pick up a complete print ensemble or go pastel with lemony yellows, the choice is all yours!
