After the whole ruffle trouble of Spring Summer 2019, the layers were not quite done yet! With tons and tons of fabric, Autumn-Winter 19/20 has become a whole lot frilly!
From layers of sheer fabrics to ruffled up multi-coloured ones, volume was the key element of this season. Draped like a spectacle, it was all about bringing out the theatrical side of things. Looking back at costumes, this season was a whole lot of drama, frou and frills that couldn’t be missed! With XXL gowns at Giambattista Valli’s show to Tomo Koizumi’s multi-coloured frills (bowing down here), there was a lot of oomph on the runway.
While Carolina Herrera brought out the oh-so-comfy feel, Nina Ricci, Valentino and Emilia Wickstead had vibrant tones and jaw-dropping vibes. Many designers like Brandon Maxwell, Roksanda and Marc Jacobs followed suit with their head to toe additions of volume – All set to gate-crash all red carpets! Here’s how we took the inspiration from this layered trend:
Meet the Designer: Aditya
Taking inspiration from this theatrical & attention-catching trend, we created a range of gold. Representing the tons and tons of fabric that had an all-eyes-on-me effect, our range is all about layers, layers & some more layers.
