SS’20: No Hassle for Tassels! #TrendAlert

Let’s go with something hassle-free, shall we? Make way for fringes in a knot, strands in a bunch and layers of swaying strings this Spring-Summer 2020!

From accessories to clothing, tassels were all over the runway with their swish and sway strands. Tassels have been a part of fashion (in every sense) since ancient Egypt and biblical times. Findings its way on garments, blankets, rugs, chandeliers and draperies – tassels became a part of everything over the years. From small and casual Renaissance designs to staid designs of the Victorian Era, tassels continued to evolve.

Twirling in Tassels!

Making its way to the current trend, Tassels became a part of the runway with ease. From belts, shoes, bags to clothes, they were not just a trend, but a new essential for basically everything. Valentino’s show consisted of bell-shaped flounces with a tassel belt add-ons. Burberry, on the other hand, incorporated these tassel strands to all their skirt and sleeve hemlines. With extensive long strands paired with print and neutrals alike, it was the new way to wear tassels.

Oscar de la Renta took a more vibrant playful route with colourful hemline extensions and Raffia tassel-work while Ralph and Russo added them to monotone outfits, shimmer, embroidery and even cutwork. ‘Cause who said tassels are for one occasion? Stella McCartney oh-so-colourful tassel play to Etro’s collared with tassels, there was a whole lot of swirling and twirling involved on the ramps.

The Tassel Vogue

After all the ramp love for tassels, the celebrities too were hoping on the tassel train! From the Oscar red carpets to fashion shows, celebrities and influencers alike were ready to have some fun with this trend. While Laura Dern, Margot Robbie and Aurora had a tassel tale to tell during the Oscars, there was Charlize Theron twirling in her black tassels for her movie premiere.

Kristen McMenamy, Susie Lau, Tracee Ellis Ross and Sobhita Dhulipala too, were flaunting their love for tassels.

The Tassel Collection

While all the ramps and red carpets were nailing this trend, we couldn’t stand back either! With a take in gold, we’ve created a range that will be your new dangling addition!

There’s no hassle for tassels this season! With long strands knotted together, it’s the new add-on from accessories to clothes. Translating this trend in gold, we’ve used the tassel motif in a dangling form, that works well with any/all casuals!
