Put the neutrals to the side, cause there’s another colour trend on the way! Brighter than the day and the ‘pop’ for all your winter looks, Neon is back in a big and bossy way this season.
After all the subtle shades, the call of the ramps and runways turned to ‘Monotone no more’. Saint Laurent dazzled the crown with their black light setting and fluorescent outfits flashing shining bright. From sunglasses to shoes, neon shone through feathers and fur like never before. Christian Cowan added drama with trails, capes and sequin add-ons (plus a retro make-up) for a practical look, like never before. Jacquemus added structured vibes to neon with his version of neon coats that could work for day and night. Balenciaga, Off-White, Marine Serre and Sies Marjan were some of the other designers ready to add on these vibrant and bold colours to their collections.
Taking inspiration from these oh-so-fluoro colour trend, we included enamel tones to gold. Since these colours are here to stay and become a part of your wardrobe, shouldn’t it be a part of your jewellery box? We think, Yes!
Blending these Look-At-Me neon colours with alphabets, our new collection has all the casual vibes required this season. Whether it’s a brunch party or a coffee date, there’s a whole lotta colour to add on! Bring on the Light!
The Colours to Flaunt
While there’s a whole area of fluoro to choose from, there are four must-haves of Autumn-Winter 2019/20. Let go of those un-inspired colours and add on a colour tone to brighten up your day! It’s time to include these hues to your days:
Mattel Pink
From fur, coats to slip dresses and pants, Mattel pink was everywhere. Designers like Carolina Herrera and Rodarte added the chic to neon with an OTT look. On the other hand, the red carpet looks of Sophie Turner, Priyanka Chopra and Sonam Kapoor, were making us swoon.
Go head-to-toe for an evening of frolic or pair it up with your denim for a subtle yet bold choice, pink is no longer feminine. But a more confident and chic colour to show off. Own the look with a pendant or earrings with your initials.
Tiger Orange
A shade that’s been with us since Spring Summer 2019, this season, it’s only gotten better and brighter. Nina Ricci played with colour-blocking while Saint Laurent’s power shouldered dress caught all the eyeballs. Carolina Herrera here too, had us floating in the air with voluminous gowns. Celebs too were all set to support the colour reign. From Jennifer Lopez, Deepika Padukone and Jillian Bell to Shailene Woodley and Katrina Kaif, there was a whole lot of orange in town.
‘Don’t shy away’ is the call of the season! So let’s not, shall we? Add on this shade with a structured coat or even a shrug to add on a pop of colour and pair it up with a bracelet or a ring to finish your look!
Egg Yolk Yellow
Did anyone say yellow? Oh yeah, it’s even brighter than before! With fluorescent tones and a whole lot of pizzaz, the yellow remains in trend. Off White, Ralph Lauren and Marc Jacobs showcased their range with this neon shade combined with blazers and gowns. Now that’s called versatility. From Lupita Nyongo, Hailey Bieber to Brie Larson and Anne Hathaway, there was yellow all over!
Pair this shade up in a skirt or even a blazer with your denim or black shirt for a pop of colour. You can also choose to wear it as a shirt with your grey trousers for a confident yet comfortable look. Accessorize with a pair of studs or a ring and you’ll be good to go!
Acid Green Neon
Billie Eilish has definitely been the mascot for this one. And we’re definitely in support! This highlighter hue has been illuminating the ramps like nothing else. From Christopher Kane, sir Marjan, Balenciaga and Marine Serre, this shade could be seen all across. The celebs too were up and ready to be a part of the green parade. From Alia Bhatt’s Vogue cover look, Kareena Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Kendall Jenner, go green was LED this season.
Let this neon tone shine bright in a top while you pair it up with culottes. Include a necklace or a pendant to highlight your shoulders and its time to take the show on the road.
Since now you’re all set with these trend colours and even the accessory to go for, all you need to do is flaunt! Create your own style with a hint of neon or go all out with a head-to-toe feature, it’s going to be a colourful winter for sure!
