We’re in a Fuchsia state of mind this Autumn-Winter 2020/21 and there’s no stopping this takeover! So are you ready to bold it up?! Winter just got a whole lot fearless with a vibrant Pink-Purple add-on that has us swooning. While AW is the season of rainy days, cloudy skies and a bunch of neutrals, there was a surprise all set to explode. The staples of the seasons saw a more confident, mature and a passion-for-pink style statement that had the runways, well, painted in Pink. Top to Fuchsia Creating new winter energy, Fuchsia took over all the ramps and runways in a head-to-toe, silky and gown formats. From pleated gowns, floor-length shirt dresses and a flamboyant textured green pantsuit pair up, Halpern checked for the tick boxes. Shrimps, on the other hand, took a more 1930s route with cowl necklines, flared dresses and yes, pearl necklaces. Alejandra Alonso Rojas’s…

Make way for Earth tones, cause there’s nothing more classic than that! Think beige, mahogany. sandstone, toffee or coffee – there’s a new neutral palette to try out! We’re way into the post-pandemic world and safety and comfort are the new keywords for us all. And fashion too took its inspiration from just that. Walking the path of ‘less is more’ and ‘simple is the new stand-out’, it was time to embrace the timelessness of the Earth colours. Earthy, Head-to-Toe Celebrating the shades of the Earth, the global ramps and runways had the new head-to-toe look for all day, any day. While Acne Studios was playing with velvet, ribbed knits and tie-dye effects to add textures, Boss took a more formal route. With boots, trench coats, blazers and skirts, there was an Earthy edition set to work. Burberry and Fendi, on the other hand, were getting ready for winter with…

Black is making a comeback this season, in all its haunting and daunting ways! Spring-Summer 2020 just got a new colour trend people!! And that too, a universally loved one. Quoting Coco Chanel, “When I find a colour darker than black, I’ll wear it. But until then, I’m wearing black!”, holds true for all of us. Even though we like all the vibrant colours of the rainbow, Black holds a special place in our hearts. And this season, it’s all about going head-to-toe in this colour trend or pairing it up with vibrant hues – which honestly, we don’t mind. At. All. The colour Black became a statement during the #MeToo Movement that started in 2017 and then later with the Times Up Movement of 2018, where women stood in solidarity against sexual harassment. Inspired by the DIY community and 70s styling, of course, this trend has a hippie touch to it with faded shades and hallucinogenic finishes. This trend became a way of self-expression for many individuals in the 1960s. A simple, inexpensive and more importantly, a unique trend that could be created right in your backyard! Colour – It – Yourself this Season! With all the colours raging this Spring, the ramps were surely having a gala time. While Longchamp showcased ombre shading on pleated dresses, Prabal…
